Review on 🪑 Comfort Plus: Big and Tall 400lbs Ergonomic Office Chair with Lumbar Support, Wide Seat, Adjustable Armrests, and Rolling Swivel - White Mesh Task Chair by Michael Richardson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Looked like a good buy. First few days

I work from home and bought this chair to replace one from a large store that I have been using for a very long time. The massager sounded like a gimmick, but other aspects and features of the chair seemed pretty good, so despite some negative reviews I went with it. Unfortunately a lot of the reviews are actually correct as just 3 weeks later I had already bought another chair and this one is now gathering dust in the garage (because it seemed silly to throw it away as it was only 3 weeks old). The chair wasn't that difficult to put together - any more than any other office chair I've bought. .Even the built in massager was a bit nicer than expected but unfortunately the chair itself was only comfortable for a few days. By day 4 the seat was already starting to feel tight and even the base of the seat started to burn. Yielding in the sense that the ends of the seat were slightly bent which made me feel like I was leaning forward when sitting lean enough to feel uncomfortable. But after about 10 days, the seat itself became very stiff and caused so much discomfort that I changed my position in it many times during my work shift at home. Technically there was nothing 'wrong' with the chair to return, but I knew I had to replace it at that point (and found something much better on sale at one of the chain stores). And the fact is I could still buy it if it was set up in store to try on as initial comfort is good but whatever material is on the seat it doesn't hold up at all and it became so difficult to sit on in just a few days.
