Ideal for the hallway. I had an old brass fixture with fancy glass that I wanted to update without having to replace the entire light assembly. That fits the bill. It does not block or distort light at all and seamlessly blends into the ceiling. The only thing I would like to note is that it didn't stick to the ceiling on the first try. The foam strips blocking side light also pushed the frame away from the ceiling, leaving an easily visible gap. Shaving cream solved the problem a bit.
