I tried two different 5V power supplies and they made the filaments light up semi-randomly. Some changed when I told them while others seemed to have their own opinions. Then, out of desperation, I tried powering a couple of LEDs from the Arduino 5V stabilizer and they worked fine. I have 30 LEDs that run at full brightness for months and are powered directly by the same Arduino that powers them with no problem, which surprises me.
