I tried two different 5V power supplies and they made the filaments light up semi-randomly. Some changed when I told them while others seemed to have their own opinions. Then, out of desperation, I tried powering a couple of LEDs from the Arduino 5V stabilizer and they worked fine. I have 30 LEDs that run at full brightness for months and are powered directly by the same Arduino that powers them with no problem, which surprises me.

These are great custom addressable LEDs to use with your Arduino or other controller. They're cheaper in price compared to other LEDs you can buy like Adafruit or Banggood, but they still perform as well or even better than these. You also get 3-pin JST connectors for quick connection to LEDs and everything looks very nice and high-quality. The braid on them is also very good and protects the LEDs well. Being IP67 waterproof I hung them up at home over Christmas last year and they held up well the 3-4 weeks I used them. Most likely they are WS2812B LEDs. They work perfectly and work with other LED strings I've bought. However, these strips are a bit more difficult to work with than other LED strips I've bought in the past. The copper solder pads in particular are a lot smaller than some of the other strips I've worked with. This makes soldering wires to pads difficult and also limits the size of wire you can use. Good: They can definitely be waterproof unless you pierce the clear rubber gasket that surrounds the LEDs. So if you need to dunk LEDs, this is for you. Inexpensive. Flexible, hasn't let me down yet.
