Bought these shorts to replace a decade old pair of cargo shorts that simply ran their course (rest ye well, friend, you earned it). I will say I really like these shorts. My dog is less than 20 pounds and this cable might be too thick for him. It doesn't burden him but he probably doesn't need a cable of this thickness. I got this for the spring feature but I'm not sure if it does anything for him. Maybe he's not strong enough to make the spring extend much. I bought these for a friend who has a size 7 wide foot. The length was short-a 7 1/2 would have fit and the shoe is for a narrow foot. I bought the Beige color which is more like a creamy greige.
