Dog tie out in my review

Well the tie out didn't work well my dog broke it and my neighbor ran her over and she's dead. The other tie outs I purchased from pets mart were much better. It's very sad, she was only 2 years old.

Pros
  • just for my dog
Cons
  • The cable may become twisted and tangled when your dog runs around in circles

Best 50’ lead I’ve found

Just what I wanted length-wise but the rubber protectors fall right off of the metal hardware that creates the small loop at each end. Seen better molded arrangements but not on a 50’ lead. The spring is great strain relief when the dog pulls and the vinyl casing is holding up too.

Pros
  • Sturdy, flexible and well constructed
Cons
  • The stake may damage hard surfaces such as concrete or pavement

Lightweight and Strong!

It's fairly lightweight and more than strong enough for my 110lb mutt. We have used this leash on a daily bases and for our multi day adventures. Just what I would expect from this type of rope. Would buy one again in a heart beat it if got lost.

Pros
  • Our dog goes thru tie out cables like water. This one is sturdy and well worth the money!
Cons
  • Plastic coating is coming off and cable is fraying after minimal use.

Not suitable for a 50lb pitbull

We got 2 days of use out of this before the clasp completely broke. My dog is a 50lb pit mix, so not all that big, we were playing fetch when I noticed the cable was no longer attached to the anchor. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOUR DOG IS 50+ LBS, IT WILL BREAK!

Pros
  • Our Great Pyrenees have not been able to break this one... finally!
Cons
  • The cable might be too short for dogs that like to roam around

The spring doesn't move much

My dog is less than 20 pounds and this cable might be too thick for him. It doesn't burden him but he probably doesn't need a cable of this thickness. I got this for the spring feature but I'm not sure if it does anything for him. Maybe he's not strong enough to make the spring extend much. It's still better than not having a spring though.

Pros
  • Very fast shipping. Leash as pictured. The padded handles are very comfortable.
Cons
  • The cable may become too loose or too tight, depending on your dog's movements

So! GREAT! in my review

Wyatt the monster puppy has gone through countless leashes and tie-outs this last year. So glad I finally found this one! It's metal but with like a plastic sleeve over it, which is great because I was worried about getting cut on it if pulls on it. After running around for about 30mins & terrorizing the neighborhood, we've used it for punishment/training purposes. Wyatt doesn't know (like) the word "Come". So we're reintroducing the word to him while tied up. This hasn't snapped! It's not…

Pros
  • appear worth the money
Cons
  • The cable may be too short for dogs that enjoy running and playing

They Won’t Chew Through It

My dog tends to chew through all leads if given the opportunity. Not this one. All in all, it does what it’s meant to do and does it well.

Pros
  • 360 x 0.19 x 0.19 inches; 1.34 Pounds
Cons
  • The cable may wear down your dog's collar or leash over time

Cracking protective coating

The protective plastic coating that surrounds the cable breaks very easily and is sharp. We live in a cold climate so that may be a contributing factor. It seems to be heavier weight than other cables. Will be returning not satisfied with quality.

Pros
  • Perfect! Just what we ordered.
Cons
  • The cable may be too short to give your dog enough space to move around

Quality hardware not good

I purchased this 30 ft cable that was rated up to 125 lbs for my 63 lb dog. It lasted a month! The hook bent and the locking devise came right out. See picture. My swivel stake is still perfectly in the ground, so she managed to break a very important piece without even pulling the stake out. Very disappointed as this was supposed to strong enough for a dog twice her size.

Pros
  • Worked for my dog
Cons
  • This chain is NOT tangle proof! Very disappointed.

Great so far! - my new review

It is hard finding a 50ft tie for my dog! So glad I found this one, she broke her last one. Hopefully this one is more durable, but so far it is perfect!

Pros
  • Great leash
Cons
  • The cable may become twisted in knots, making it difficult to use

Good leash to buy for dogs like to chew

The leash is very comfortable to hold on. My dog likes to chew on the leash sometimes, and this leash is strong enough to withhold the chewing habit. Also it doesn’t take much strength for me to walk my dog using this leash, it is pretty light weight. I would recommend this product.

Pros
  • Training & Behavior Aids
Cons
  • The stake may create an obstacle in your yard or camping area, making it difficult to walk or run

Great daily leash for large breed dogs

This leash is much tougher than other leashes I have bought at big box stores for more money. We have a total of four dogs that visit our house (our grown kids bring their dogs over all the time). Needless to say, leashes are often misplaced and we are always needing another. These are great leashes for us, as all of our dogs are big. These leashes are made out of durable material and have a strong clip that will not pull apart, great quality and exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • SHOCK ABSORBING BUFFER SPRING: Unique buffer spring design helps to absorb the shock of quick movement when used with energetic and active dogs when they lunge, it will prevent jerking the pet reaches the end of the line and reduce the risk of injury, give him more ease.
Cons
  • The cable may get caught on branches, fences, or other objects, causing injury to your dog

Super tough: my feedback

I feel confident when I put my pitty outside. Its super sturdy and light weight? Doesn't knot up like the ones I had before.

Pros
  • Pretty sturdy and looks nice
Cons
  • The cable may become tangled around trees and bushes, causing damage

Snapped after four months of use

I was impressed with this product for the first 3 to 4 months but it snapped today and my dog ran away. Definitely not made well.We got our dog back but definitely recommend spending more money on a more quality one if you don’t want the panic from your dog missing.

Pros
  • Doesn’t twist up.
Cons
  • The stake may become buried in the ground, making it difficult to find and remove

Cracked already best in my review

Just had this for a couple of weeks. Stiffened up in cold weather. Just noticed a break in the coating, so the wires are wearing down. I think this is going back to Walmart 🐾👎

Pros
  • Does not kink!
Cons
  • The cable may rust over time, compromising its strength and durability

Not Rustproof - my new review

While it seems sturdy and has so far kept my Lab/Shepherd mix puppy in the yard, within a week the clasp was rusting and it’s virtually impossible to open. Unfortunately, it will have to be replaced.

Pros
  • Works well
Cons
  • The cable may not be long enough for dogs that like to explore

Nice cable, easy to use clips

We’ve inherited an older dog who is used to being tied out. This cable has been great so far, thinking of ordering another. The spring on the end makes his getting used to wildlife in his yard a little easier on him, he’s learning.

Pros
  • This dog leash in in very good quality and very strong. I would recommend it for any dogs over 50 lbs.
Cons
  • The stake may bend or break under the pressure of a strong dog

Basic cable tie out for dogs.

This is a basic cable tie out for dogs. Only the cable is included, so be aware that you will need a post or ground spike to attach to. I have been using this when I am working out front and don't feel like chasing the dog every time it decides to go on an adventure. I would lay the cable out before you first use it to determine how far your dog may be able to get when its completely stretched, just to ensure they can't reach the road or sidewalk in the event your dog has a protection complex.

Pros
  • Had it for about a month or so. No rust or kinks plastic covering is still intact seems to work
Cons
  • The cable may wear down over time, reducing its effectiveness

Puppy loves being outside!

We recently got a house so this was needed. We have it attached to our deck so nothing in the ground but this has worked perfect!

Pros
  • Used it for my 20 pound dog. Light enough to pull are but heavy duty enough to never break
Cons
  • The cable may create a tripping hazard for people and other animals

Great length and awesome spring coil!

I didn’t think was was going to be as heavy as it is. I think the clasps could have been alittle lighter. But overall I’m am pleased with it.

Pros
  • Only use for large dogs! It’s extremely heavy!
Cons
  • We had this cable for about two months before my Mastiff snapped it in half.
