Great kitchen tools

There were 4 women cooking this past Sunday and each tried a different spurtel from the set. Rave reviews from each. We were cooking for a crowd so there was significant amounts of food in each bowl and the spurtel handled it. Fun to use. Would highly recommend.

Pros
  • works as advertised
Cons
  • The set may not include utensils suitable for flipping or turning food

Wrong set sent in my review

They seem nice enough. The wood is a bit rough and dry but I will oil them up my main complaint is that I ordered this set but was sent a completely different set with a shirt, flat, wide spurtle and an odd shaped small one that looks like a butter knife/spreader. Then there is a narrow solid one and a narrow slotted one. Would have liked to get the set I actually ordered.

Pros
  • Love these. Work great for cooking. I just wish they were dishwasher safe.
Cons
  • The set may not be suitable for those with limited kitchen storage space

Great product!: my feedback

Once I discovered the ease of using Spurtles, I decided I wanted them to be "one of my favorite thing" gifts for friends. These are perfect!

Pros
  • Really haven't had these long enough for a better review, but so far they are fine.
Cons
  • The spurtles may not be sturdy enough for heavy-duty cooking endeavors

not bamboo best in my review

These pieces are easy to work with and look good on my kitchen counter. These Spurtles replaced the bamboo utensils that were only a couple years old. Good but short lived in my kitchen. I believe I'll have this set of Spurtles for years to come.

Pros
  • Very nice!
Cons
  • Some users may prefer utensils with more flexibility, as the spurtles are relatively rigid

Best Thing Ever! on my review.

Game changer! These tools are amazing and I doubt that I will ever find a flaw. The perfect stirrer, server, scraper and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better as I was throwing the rest of my rice away the spurtle fit perfectly in my mouth for that last scoop of rice that I hate to waste. Don’t judge me.

Pros
  • They really work. A wooden utensil that competes wit hi-end metal.
Cons
  • The spurtles may take up more space in a utensil holder or drawer than traditional cooking utensils

Great Tools best in my review

I saw this product advertised by the Mad Hungry Chef. I went to her website and then looked at Revain.comThe tools are very good for the expensive pans you want to protect from scratching, e.g. Le Crueset, Staub, etc. Each one is versatile and has a place in cooking. Easy to clean and better than the standard wooden spoon or fork.

Pros
  • Very adaptable to a variety of cooking functions. Bought two more sets as gifts.
Cons
  • The lack of a curved edge may make it difficult to scrape the sides of bowls or jars

I use them nearly every day!

True story, these are my favorite *go to* tools when I cook! Sturdy paddle-like from stir fry to pasta.easy to hand wash too. Haven't oiled them yet, suppose I will eventually, but the wood is very dense so it doesn't absorb anything 💗💗💗

Pros
  • I was gifted 2 previously and loved them so much I bought more.
Cons
  • The shape of the spurtles may make them difficult to use with certain types of cookware

A joke that worked out!

Why brother ordered these for me for Christmas as a joke as they advertise incessantly on the ACC Network. Y’all……I love these and use them sooo much. I used them so much I ordered him a set. They’re great for dips, retried beans, rice, tuna salad, getting ketchup or peanut butter out of a measuring cup, and so much more.

Pros
  • Love!!! Everything I wanted and more!!!
Cons
  • The spurtles may not be suitable for delicate cooking tasks such as stirring risotto or melting chocolate

As seen on T.V. Spurtles

These appear as if from Mad Hungry, but the finish was not as I expected. They are a little rough, as in not glassy smooth. If they were glassy smooth that might not be good either as wood tools that are like that usually end up peeling (the finish). But I would have liked these to feel more smooth.I like them however and maybe over time with washing and maybe oiling they might smooth down.

Pros
  • I use it to stir mix and flip.
Cons
  • I guess the commercial made me buy them, LOL they are ok, but only time will tell.

Love spurtling! on my review.

Not sure why but I totally love the look feel and functionality of my spurtles. They were a gift and i have since sent as gifts to several others. So much better than your average spatula or wooden spoon. Love them!

Pros
  • Easy to use. Works great in my pans.
Cons
  • The lack of a hanging hole or hook could make storage more challenging

Easy to use and clean

I really can't see how sturdy these are yet. So far, they're well-built, quite good, and useful. I use one regularly to scramble eggs in a cast iron skillet. I used one to fluff my cooked rice. A spurtle works great in either use case. I am planning to buy some food grade mineral oil as the package insert suggests so they last longer, but they're easy to use and easy to clean so far.

Pros
  • No scratches on my pots.
Cons
  • The price point may be too high for budget-conscious shoppers

Great kitchen utensils!

My husband bought these for me. We use them whenever we cook. My best friend came over one night and we prepared dinner together. She complimented these and asked where I got them. I surprised her with a red set to match her kitchen decor and she absolutely loves them!

Pros
  • Mixing, spreading, sifting.
Cons
  • The porous surface of the wood may absorb and retain harmful bacteria if not properly sanitized

Exactly what I expected

These are exactly what I expected them to be. I've used three of the four and they performed just as I hoped they would, I'm looking forward to getting many years of use out of them.

Pros
  • They will last a lifetime. They are beautiful
Cons
  • The wooden material may absorb and retain food odors over time

Product is great - packaging NOT SO MUCH!

I always hesitate to order online as the packaging looks SO inferior to anything we'd buy at a local store. This purchase is no exception. I purchased as a gift. will now go searching for a nice box to use VS the ugly brown cheep cardboard wrapper. *When manufacturers don't care to package their product well they cheapen the entire value of the item.

Pros
  • smaller than what i wanted, however quality is good.
Cons
  • The wooden material may not be suitable for use with high-acid liquids such as lemon juice or vinegar

Very helpful in the kitchen

These are a great addition to my kitchen! To all the people that said that they stink after you wash them, I washed mine with dawn and let them air dry and THEY DO NOT STINK! They must have bought knock off spurtle's, if they don't have MAD HUNGRY stamped on them then they are knock off's!These are so nice and useful and I would recommend them to anyone that likes to cook. :)

Pros
  • Was a present, not been given . The looks of it looked to be user friendly
Cons
  • The size of the spurtles may not be suitable for all cooking tasks

Arrived damaged - my new review

One of my spurdles arrived with a crack in the wood and all of them don’t appear to be fully sanded down. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Baking
Cons
  • The wooden utensils are not heat resistant and could warp or crack if exposed to high temperatures

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I use these everyday.

These are nice and work as described by seller. I would advise you to use high quality beeswax/mineral oil (like Holland Bowls makes and sells) on these before you use them. They are quite dry.and a little rough compared to my other wooden utensils. I think they’ll last for many years if taken care of.

Pros
  • Love them except for the slotted one.
Cons
  • The flat shape may make it difficult to fully incorporate ingredients such as spices or herbs

Great spoons best in my review

Great set of spatulas. Just as advertised. I have wooden spoons I've had for years that I love, but I find I reach for these first.

Pros
  • They were exactly as described. Work as good as seen on TV. Wish I would have had them a long time ago.
Cons
  • The wooden material may be prone to splintering or cracking over time

Multi-use set best in my review

A friend of mine has this set and recommended it when I mentioned needing a new wooden spoon. I use them for everything - getting a scoop of nut butter or coconut oil, separating eggs, breaking up meat in a pan. They are easy to clean. I will likely rub some food-safe oil into them as my set could use a little moisture. Looking forward to giving this set as a gift in the future.

Pros
  • Better than a spoon and spatula in some uses
Cons
  • The set does not include a spoon or ladle for more traditional cooking tasks

The wood was a little rough - not smooth as I expected.

I like the idea of the Spurtle and really looked forward to using these. I treated them with mineral oil before my first use - as suggested. However, after using one of them a couple of times I realized it was a little harder to wash than I thought it should be. The texture on the "spreading" end, felt like it needed a good sanding! It felt rough enough that I think it would be difficult to keep it clean and sanitary. I may try to sand it to a smoother finish and then re-oil it. The wood is…

Pros
  • Every size and shape especially for baking
Cons
  • The wood may become discolored or stained after extended use
