Flushing money down the toilet

These ink cartridges are one of the banes of my existence. I have an HP printer that I don't use much, maybe about 4-5 times a year and max 5 pages printed at a time. Even with this minimal usage, I ALWAYS get a warning that the printer is out of ink. Serious? How can it be? For as expensive as these, you'd think you might get a little more than ink for a tear. Absolutely ridiculous and one of the worst values ever.
