Great backpack for hiking or working. Looks great too!

I bought this to use as a backpack and as a laptop bag (when I go to work) and it's great. Sometimes I take my work clothes and go camping with them. This is a strong, thick material that can withstand a lot of weight. I'm in grad school, so I often have a couple of novels, a laptop, and a lot of paperwork. The whole fits with my goggles and a water bottle (although I can't close the side pocket with the size/height of the water bottle I have). The leather straps are a little lighter than the photo but they look really nice on this backpack. The magnetic clasp is perfect for me and I really prefer the magnetic clasp to the intrinsic functionality of decorative belts. I got tired of the drawstring with closure, but I had no problems with it and I really liked it. When fully opened it has enough space for all my thoughts and multiple pockets inside. One size has an easy to move zip pocket (quality zips in this product) and room for my laptop (15" fits perfectly). On the other side there is a Velcro pocket that fits a tablet perfectly, as well as a small zippered area and two pockets that easily fit pens or a phone. The front pocket is my favorite place to keep my phone and other small items like easy-to-access notepads. There's no shortage of quality pockets here, although as I mentioned, a smaller water bottle might work for you or you can't close it (although mine won't fall out). I usually keep my umbrella in a side pocket, also without a zip. Overall I'm a curvy woman of 5ft 2in and this backpack sits comfortably on me with the straps halfway on. It doesn't look too big and I got compliments on the simple but classic look of this backpack. .
