These bobby pins are good if you have time to put them on your hair and then wait for them to get fixed. They're not as good as curling irons, but they don't cause heat damage to your hair either. I used a texturizing spray and then rolled the strands of hair in it. I was able to get a good amount of hair in each clip. I started at the top and worked my way down to make the curl bigger towards the bottom of the hair. The assembly is time consuming and a bit tricky, especially at the back of the head. Holds up pretty well. Once the clips were in place I was able to do other chores around the house and my hair stayed in place. After removing the clips I used a fixing spray to hold the shape. The trunk is about 3 inches long and 0.75 inches wide. The entire hair clip measures approximately 4.25 inches long. I would use them on already damaged hair and only if I have time to wait.
