Review on Philips DPM8000 Pro Digital Pocket Memo Recorder - High-Performance DPM-8000 by Duane Kerr

I would give this product 3 1/2 stars but the quality doesn't quite live up to four stars. Reason: Voice activation feature is very bad. This won't work if your lips are barely touching the mic and the mic setting isn't set to "Meet." This recorder also only allows you to choose the output quality as WAV file and no other options. There is no software dictation for MacUser like in Windows. However, I should add that the accuracy is pretty good when dictating with a voice recorder and transcribing a file with Dragon Dictation for Mac. Functionality is probably better with the Windows program, but I'm happy with its performance on my Mac, OS 12.6
