I recently bought coarse sea salt but found I don't have a grinder! So I got them and so far I like them. They look stylish and high-tech. You grind the salt coarsely but fine enough for normal cooking. But keep in mind that 1. it takes 6 AAA batteries (in my opinion that's a lot, hope this lasts long) and 2. one needs to be filled from the higher side. I didn't understand that and tried to pour out a small salt shaker from the shorter side. I later find out as you can see in the picture that it only has a hole on one side to allow the salt/pepper to get into the chopper part. I think that's a good way to control the crowd. I think if I turn it from the higher side to the shorter side I can't leave too much residue on the grinder and control the amount of salt. I also like the light up feature that lets me see how much salt is pouring out.
