Less expensive than the usual combination of housing and lamp and clear advantages: Advantages: Slim design has two major advantages. This allows them to be installed over 1/2" drywall rafters, allowing you to place them almost anywhere, and they have a wider beam angle, allowing you to place them farther apart with less pronounced shadows near the ceiling/wall corner. Very bright! Installed 6 lamps in a 15'x18' room and it was stunning! I think it would be possible to do this with 4 lamps, but a dimmer (Lutron DVCL-153P works well) is an easy solution. to have some buzz, especially when dimming, but with the LED driver in a separate ceiling-mounted housing, there is no noticeable noise from them. - Good workmanship. Both the light and electrical housing are solid, and the spring clamps keep the fixture snug to the ceiling. They can be removed without damaging the drywall, but it takes a bit of skill and watch out for your fingers, the feathers are like mousetraps! it's easier and doesn't seem to affect anything adversely. The 3000k color looks fairly lifelike and not too blue like some LED lights. Cons: Only reason for 4 stars is that 2 out of 12 units have noticeable flicker when dimmed at certain but not all levels. . Considering the price, it's not a deal breaker and I've had much more expensive units that do the same thing. It would be nice if you could buy less than 12 at a time as it's a bit wasteful, but at least I have spares or upgrades for future use. Overall, this is a well made product with excellent value for money.
