This is a very thick polish which will ensure it adheres well but you need to apply very thin coats or the wrinkles will appear on when you treat him. This isn't a problem if you're painting the entire nail with a solid color, but it's a problem if you're using it for a wet-on-wet design. It's pretty frustrating to do a cool design on a nail and then heal it and find everything swollen and wrinkled. I will not be returning this bottle but I will not be buying this brand again. After using it a few times I found that it doesn't cure properly if you use multiple thin coats. Recently painted her toes with two THIN coats. The first coat worked fine, I added a second coat and it cured well too. A few days later I put on a pair of shoes which were obviously rubbing my big toenails and just rubbed the polish off. Upon inspection, the remaining paint was tacky and did not appear to have properly cured.
