Review on Sony SRS-XB01 Compact Portable Bluetooth Speaker: Loud Party Speaker with Built-in Mic - Black by Makoto Ueba ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

Now, pay attention: more than a year ago, Sony released the almost identically sized and incomparably better quality XB-10. Prior to this misunderstanding, the product was sold by the manufacturer for the price of 3,500, but it has since been given an insane price tag of 4,500. (apparently, the guys decided that it was better than the younger models in the lineup are at least one and a half thousand, and this is true, but why this led to an increase in the price of the XB-10, and not a decrease in the XB-01, is not clear). The XB-10 plays far more forcefully and pleasingly than its predecessor, while while maintaining a charge for up to 16 hours and naturally incorporating NFC. It is comfortable to hold in one's hand and, from a strictly structural standpoint, it is more interesting because it can be used in two different orientations (up (360 degrees) and sideways - owing to the stand, it can be placed down). If you are considering purchasing a portable speaker, in general, you should not even consider looking in the direction of this XB-01 misunderstanding. Instead, you should look for the XB-10 at reasonable prices, and fortunately, there are enough offers to choose from.

Pros
  • The bass of this speaker is fairly good for its size, however the only time you should listen to it at a high volume is when you turn down the volume completely. And most likely string as well. A total letdown is everything else in this package.
Cons
  • We obtain the following for the sum of three thousand from the manufacturer: - bodily parts that are repulsively inexpensive to the touch as well as to the appearance (in addition to the design, to put it mildly, for an amateur - and definitely not for a lover of stylish things from Sony), - maximum sound quality that is not of a high enough standard (Sony never allowed itself to do this, but there are cods here, not to mention the fact that the speaker is choking), - the absence of NFC, which is a feature that has been standard on all Sony portable speakers for more than 5 years - the short battery life (declared about 6 hours).
