I have a 2011 GT Karakoram and the rear brake pads kept rubbing on the disc. Not the disc, but the pads shifted from left to right, it was terrible. I did it alone, first time for me. One piece of advice, I had to ask a friend for help, the cable goes through rather than going through and then being pinched. The standard passed so I tried feeding that one but couldn't get it to work the first time. One more thing to note and apologies for the lack of technical detail. The hex on the inner caliper is knurled as you adjust it through the spokes. So you can twist it a bit and feel it fit into the next slot, which is great. The standard just twists and then detaches itself. Overall it's very smooth, works great!
