Review on Mavota Black Skull Automatic Manual Gear Shift Knobs by Isaac Shankar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The skull is good! no plastic fittings.

The skull pen itself is good. It has a certain weight and feels good in the hand when shifting gears. The downside of this item is that the universal fittings they give you suck. I've seen other universal button switches that used metal threaded caps that screwed in easily. This one comes with plastic fittings and nothing is threaded. However, assembly was easy, I had to screw on the hardware myself, and only three small screws secure and hold the shift knob. I had to tighten the shift knob twice in the first two weeks of use. I think I could use super glue to hold the handle in place. So, as I said, a real flip skull is very good in itself and looks great. I would give 5 stars if it was a threaded piece that could be screwed directly onto the switch itself, with or without an adapter. At least then, if it loosens up, you can just screw it back in and don't have to use a tiny allen wrench to tighten three tiny screws that aren't easy to find when you're stopped at a traffic light.
