Did a spartan sprint in them and they gave fantastic results. Other people in sneakers and everything else were everywhere but not me. Those things gave me a lot of traction. The day was dry but we had to cross water barriers and rivers. The shoes drained the water really well, but not immediately. It took a few steps, but it might be due to the Mud Gear socks I was wearing. They feel a bit thicker than other socks but I like the feel so will have to deal with a slower drain. I've also ridden them cross country and they work fine again, but they don't have a shaft so you'll feel every rock you step on. It's not too bad at first as I like to feel where I am on the rock but after 9 miles I was over it. Still. they did well. I had no blisters or pain in my legs at all. I even rode it on the road for a few miles with no problems. Follow the size chart. I have a pair of Brooks and bought them according to the interactive size chart which made me go half a size down and they fit like a glove.
