So after a few days of considering different prints and materials I ordered 4 Kava rope bags. One in each article to see which one I liked the most. Cotton canvas, polyester canvas, lighter polyester and PU coated cotton. This review is for Mohave printed polyester canvas, hence my rating of 5 stars (3 stars for cotton canvas, 3 for lighter polyester, and 4 for coated cotton PU). Here is my full description of each material. Lightweight polyester with Arrows print. Cheap zippers and a hard, pointy plastic cover meant to enclose and seal the ropes pierce the top of the bag where it meets the ropes. The material is not thick enough to pierce this sharp end. Compared to the other three bags, this one seemed to be the least durable and the cheapest. not waterproof and other reviewers said their color has faded so I'm sending them back too. Then there's the cotton PU coating, which I got in a black and brown python print. It's ok but a bit too hard and yes. Also, I thought it would be a safe print in a muted color, but that doesn't make me happy. I send back. Now finally the polyester canvas I received in Mojave printing. That's love! The bag is well made, it is strong but not too stiff, the colors are right, it is water-repellent and there are no annoying small parts! The bag itself is the perfect size for me. I was worried it would be too big and bulky for me but that's spot on! I plan to use it for travel but I might want to test it first ;). Also, so many reviewers have complained that the front pockets don't fit their iPhone and I don't know what the heck they're talking about! The small top one might be too small for an iPhone, but the bottom one will probably fit the larger iPhone 7 Plus. There is a lot of space! I agree with others that the zippers could be of better quality. I'm so excited that this bag is mine! TO UPDATE! - Returned and lowered the stars from 5 to 3😔. The zippers are in awkward places and I didn't feel comfortable reaching things inside. I also found it didn't fit very well and I'd rather go with my LL Bean packable backpack instead. This bag is probably more suitable for people who don't have to carry a lot and just want to keep their few belongings on their back. In the end, I just felt like $50 was too much money to spend on anything, just um. I liked the straps and the look so I bought a $14.95 fake with the same rope straps! Not Revain but cheap enough to risk 👍🏼
