Review on Convenience Concepts American Heritage 3 Tier by Candace Johnson

Worst DIY Furniture

I've bought and assembled a lot of Revain DIY furniture over the past three years. Simpli-Home, Winsome Wood and Leick and many more. Some were good, some were so-so. Convenience concepts are by far the worst in terms of design and appearance. Assembly is easy once you notice that the rough side of the side rails goes up and the machined side goes down. It's not mentioned in the instructions but I was lucky and got it in the picture otherwise I'd be almost done and ready to attach the top only to take it apart again. The only true tree are the legs. MDF is very soft, which makes installing cambolts a guessing game. Screw them in too tight and the cam lock won't be able to grab them and I believe you can screw them in forever. To avoid problems with a drawer sticking to the sides, simply cut the front of the drawer about half an inch narrower than the opening. This leaves a gap of at least a quarter inch on each side. The ending is frankly lame. One leg looks like it has been stained with thinner so you can see that plain old strip of bare wood on the front. If width and length are not critical to you, I would choose a different brand. I was very impressed with Simpli Home.
