1 the first completely broken cable would turn on the device, but when used the computer would not recognize a real hard drive. 2nd cable did the same. The 3rd cable only works on one side of USB Type-C. The other side of USB Type-C does not work. The manufacturer's cable works in my device anyway, so I know the problem isn't with the device, it's with this unnecessary cable. I bought it because I needed the length, but due to issues I'm having with this company's cable, I can just stick with the manufacturer's short cable and be done with it. I do not recommend this cable at all, its terrible quality! 2 doesn't work at all and 3 only works on one side.
