I'll start with what I didn't like; Removal of old anti-slip applications. What an awful workout. They have lived in this house since it was built in 1973. I've tried everything. They name it, Citrus Magic, Goo Gone, Goof Off, Lighter Fluid (the bottle says it's great for removing stubborn glue), mineral oil, mineral spirits, and finally, after referencing a YouTube video, the guy said , who tried everything . also and finally Fast Orange. (mechanical hand cleaner) applied as a thick paste and went away for hours and eventually the damn petrified old anti-slip protectors were removed but they leave a "ghosting" and then cleaner and a lot of knees. fat and they disappeared. Just remember you need plenty of ventilation and fresh air and you don't want to use big abrasives or metal scrapers to remove the old ones making an already tough job even harder. I then rinsed the fiberglass bathtub with hot tap water, dried it thoroughly, and finally rubbed it with white vinegar followed by rubbing alcohol. Now for the easy part; I took a spirit level, tape measure, and using a pencil and a sink as a center point, I drew straight lines on the bottom of the bathtub to keep the job clean and looking good. After determining the pattern I wanted to apply, I simply cleaned and glued. The fitting part took the full 15 minutes and everything looked fine, the treads adhered perfectly and look a lot better than the 1970's family of partridges. . After taking a shower there this morning and not slipping as advertised. Result; These protectors are great and easy to put on, but if you need to remove old anti-slip protectors first, all I can say is you are better than me LOL!
