This is a lightweight portable iron with a travel case. I have long hair and need the straighten and curl features. Having them all in one device makes it perfect for use at home and on the go. I don't care about the heat control, so the fact that it only has an on/off function doesn't bother me in the slightest. The iron heats up so quickly it's perfect for quickly touching up my bangs. I find that it's not long, so if someone doesn't like a shorter wand, this healing wand will be difficult to work with. It has a good grip on the end, which helps with both curling and straightening. For me, this straightening iron is so perfect that I immediately ordered another one (in case something happens to this one). I could only have one wish - that I could buy a flocked one. (Unfortunately, they just aren't made anymore).
