This timer was great for helping my preschooler wash their hands for a set amount of time. At first it was difficult for me to spend money on seemingly trivial things, but she got straight to the point and always showed diligence. Unfortunately, the batteries were dead and when I tried to change them, water was dripping from the bottom. I dried it as best I could but even after that and new batteries the button doesn't respond anymore. I'm a little disappointed that the product, which is (a) suitable for toddlers and (b) for aquatic use, isn't waterproof, but I had to read the instructions more carefully and am still ordering another one. It's too valuable to pass up! This time I'll put it in a plastic bag or try to attach it to the wall with 3M tape as other reviewers have suggested. Apart from the fact that it is not waterproof, I think this product is absolutely brilliant and I can only recommend it!
