I bought four pairs of these medium sized compression stockings according to the size chart (I wear women's shoes size 10-10.5). I'm also a nurse and loved the cheap price of these socks, as well as the cute design (we have to wear solid color gowns so our socks show our personality!). I know sizes vary a lot so I was disappointed when I opened the first pair to find the heel of the toe was around my Achilles tendon and not on the heel. I wore them anyway and they held up well for a 12 hour shift; however, the top was too high and disturbed my circulation; I had to fold it up and the heel of the sock wasn't smooth (because it wasn't actually on my heel!), which bothered me a bit throughout the shift. I contacted the company about this and Jeff got back to me directly and apologized for the wrong fit. He sent me four new pairs of small sizes, no questions asked. He didn't want the others to come back even though they were unopened and asked me to give them to my friends (great marketing right?). Of course, one of the colors he sent was different than the color I originally ordered, but that doesn't bother me. After all, they're socks, not wives, right (not that I ordered four wives, no matter what). FYI, these socks are thicker than most compression stockings I've ever worn. I love that aspect - my feet are always cold - but some others might not appreciate the extra thickness. They're warm and REALLY compressible, although I feel they feel a bit smaller than the advertised 20-30mmHg. That being said I would (and will) buy them back and I can honestly tell you that if you are a women's size 10-10.5, go down the size.
