Dainty, elegant, functional

I was looking for a good dressing table for my master bedroom. Not too big but big enough to be functional. This vanity costs money. The curved legs give it a sophisticated look, as does the exquisite dark cherry finish. The stool is not big but big enough to accommodate my plus size. And you know. I was concerned that the set would be too bulky for the room as it appears larger in the photos (I have issues with spatial representation) but it fits elegantly. The mirrors are attached to each other, but the two side panels swivel so you can adjust your view. The center mirror is attached fairly securely to the back of the table with a pair of wooden supports that screw into the back of the frame and the back of the table. The construction is quite solid. The sections fit together smoothly and very snugly, eliminating any wobble you might find with cheaper parts. The cabinet comes well packaged and requires no special skills to assemble. It came together very quickly and easily. Overall I would say this is a great purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. To be fair, I'll try to list all the things I would change if I were designing this article. The mirror to frame ratio is a bit small. By that I mean that the tree surrounding the mirrors could have been narrower, allowing for a bit more viewing area. The only thing that could be better would be if there were three drawers and not just the middle one. Don't get me wrong, one drawer is a good size and holds a lot of 'things', but I would style it with two smaller drawers that are 1/2 deep and flanked by the main drawer. However, the drawer opens easily and doesn't bump your knees!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
