Review on 🐢 Shih Tzu Wet Dog Food by Royal Canin: Optimized Breed Health Nutrition by Wendy Benson

Dogs are pickier than cats LOL

*Update: We're back with another brand. Although my dog liked all versions of this food, she just didn't feel any better. If your dog is younger and doesn't have any health issues, he may be able to handle it better. My Shih Tzu has pancreatitis. I put her on a prescription diet that she loved, but it can't go that far. So we tried another brand but it didn't work well with the granules (I know it's for wet food. I'll look into the granules a bit too, LOL). I took ANOTHER brand and it turned out to be too oily for her. The biggest challenge was finding foods that met her need for less fat and protein, but didn't make her skin itchy. She gets all yeasty if she eats the wrong things. And she was yeasty. She was on it for about a week and the scratching and licking stopped. She LOVES wet food and literally runs to her plate. She had to be persuaded to eat first. So far I am very satisfied with the quality of this food. It's a bit expensive. My fur is worth it! Also, I feel better when I feed her something that meets her breed's known needs.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
