Like everyone else I found the idea of companies selling the printer cheap and making money by metering ink cartridges to be a terrible business model. (I read a while back that a gallon of cartridge ink multiplies by about $3,000 per gallon, and that doesn't count all cartridge waste.) But when I thought about throwing the awesome Epson Workforce printer in the landfill, I was hoping there might be an alternative that would allow me to use it sparingly until it actually needs replacing and these cartridges appear to be one such alternative. They're easy to install, get recognized right away and I'm very happy so far. I intend to use them until circumstances change.
