I bought these to protect against possible exposure to virus droplets. I don't know exactly how much they will help. But I wore them once, in central California, when the air was bad because of the smoke from the local fires. We had to be outside a lot and it was very hot. I sat in the shade for a few minutes and felt like I could only take them off for a few minutes as there was no one around. Wow! What difference does wearing them make? As soon as I took them off, my eyes started to sting from the smoke. So I immediately put them back on. I bought both sunglasses and clear ones in case I ever need to be inside with other people.
