This little reflector is perfect for macro photography or even food photography. It allows you to direct more light into the scene where it's needed, or block light where it's not needed. The spring is quite "bouncy" and as soon as I opened the protective case and started removing the reflector, it bounced. opened up and flew across the room like a frisbee! It is very easy to fold up the reflector before putting it back in your pocket. Place your hands on either side of the reflector, rotate one hand in one direction and the other in the opposite direction, and flatten the reflector into a relatively flat package before replacing it in its housing. I have practiced this move many, many times with my large reflectors. It arrived with the black and silver sides out, which I immediately flipped over so the white and gold sides were facing out. It is very easy to detach the cover and change orientation. However, you must align the hanging tab with the slot in the lid. The zip folds over to the other side of the zip so you can easily zip the bag back into place. Both the cover and reflector have a small loop that allows you to hang them up or attach them to a belt clip or lanyard. It fits easily in the side pocket of my camera bag, so will likely travel with me a lot. I have had another Neewer 43" reflector for at least 5 years and it is still in good condition although there is some wear on the body. I assume this new one will last a long time too!
