I'm a battery lover. I've been using them for many years with great success. I recently bought a larger battery charger/maintainer and wanted two batteries connected to it at the same time. For a while I tried to connect the connection cables in parallel, but found that I had to reconnect everything again and again in order to use the required battery. I chose to do this because the fuses in each circuit provide independent protection and now I can just pull the SAE connector out of the battery that I need and carry on and when I'm done it's easy to replace them reconnect. I wanted to make my own cables but when I bought the cables, built in fuses and all I thought it was the smarter solution, albeit a little more expensive. If I could make modifications, I'd like the two output wires to be at least 3 feet each. My batteries are installed in the unit so I had to extend a cable to get to the two batteries I was servicing. Other than that, it's a quality product. Ensure that both batteries are independently charged to near full capacity when needed according to the instructions and maintenance of the two batteries is easy.
