No additional base - just a regular headphone.
Please note that the model number of this product is completely absent from this listing. I should have caught it. They sent me a regular pair of Sony sports headphones. Model No. MDR-AS210. The additional basic version is actually MDR-XB80BS EXTRA BASSβ’. Much more expensive. Nowhere is there any mention of extra bass or "extra bass" as you have been led to believe. Just another misleading seller. I'm sending them back because I already have almost the same set, just a little older.
