Finally it has to be exchanged.
I bought this bad boy (25 oz) in January 2011. I used it for work 5 days a week. Thousands of gallons flowed through it. The lid and cork were turned a thousand times. They just work and work well. I ride my bike to work every day. Just put it in my pocket and go. Never had a leak. The coffee is always hot. I wash it off with hot water every day. We rarely use soap. Baking soda and vinegar to remove the blackness. I hit this thing. It does not matter! But recently I dropped the cork. It must have landed perfectly because today I noticed that there was a piece missing next to the seal. Still tight but I think it's time to replace this bad boy. If you need a thermos, buy this because it works.
