Sleek and Simple Thermoses

I finally decided to ditch my old travel mugs and bought some stainless steel thermoses. I bring coffee to work almost every morning and the thermoses work just fine. When you hold a thermos in your hands, it is difficult to determine the temperature of the liquid inside because it is very well insulated. It consists of three parts (bottle, cap and cork), making it easy to use and dishwasher safe. The tall, slim design limits the number of coffee makers it can fit under, but allows the…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

No thermos keeps drinks cold longer than this

I'm not sure what Thermos uses to insulate their products which are so different from everyone else but I now have two of their travel mugs and two of these Thermoses and I can't say enough good things about them. Just to give you an idea of its effectiveness, we live in Florida where temperatures hover in the 100s. I filled this bottle with ice and water, rode my bike in the morning and forgot to take the bottle with me after the bike ride. THE NEXT DAY I went on another bike ride and when I…

Pros
  • Great Selection
Cons
  • No Vending Machine

Finally it has to be exchanged.

I bought this bad boy (25 oz) in January 2011. I used it for work 5 days a week. Thousands of gallons flowed through it. The lid and cork were turned a thousand times. They just work and work well. I ride my bike to work every day. Just put it in my pocket and go. Never had a leak. The coffee is always hot. I wash it off with hot water every day. We rarely use soap. Baking soda and vinegar to remove the blackness. I hit this thing. It does not matter! But recently I dropped the cork. It must…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Annoying

I've had it for about a year and it's excellent. Doesn't suffer from the build quality issues reported by reviewers in other thermoses. This is the one you need for hot liquids. If you only use it for colds, consider drinking straight from the bottle. As for hot, this bottle keeps it too hot to drink all day, so it's best to keep the contents hot and sip from a mug. The first one sent to me had a broken vacuum seal. There was a small tear near the bottom seam. It was obvious that this didn't…

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact design for easy portability and storage; stays cool on contact with hot liquids and no condensation with cold liquids
Cons
  • I will add later

Excellent, but not perfect

When choosing an alternative to my leak-proof coffee mug, I considered the following criteria: 1 . No buttons, switches, springs, hinges or other complex moving parts to contact internal contents.2. Significantly higher capacity, over 20 oz.3. Double-walled interior made of stainless steel (no plastic). I did find a few things that fit that criteria, but in the end I just got tired of how constantly dirty things are, like the Contigo drink canisters. Although they can be put in the dishwasher…

Pros
  • Durable 18/8 stainless steel inside and out stands up to the rigors of everyday use
Cons
  • New Competitors Emerge
