I use these nylon cables to make trellises for growing in my square garden. I use PVC pipe and angle connectors and strong stakes to frame the trellis and hold it securely in the ground. With nylon square mesh, I use these cables to connect mesh to PVC pipe. Then I cut the mesh to the right size. I've used this method with tall and short trellises and raised beds, as well as raised drawers. Pictured here is an example of my current cucumber plants growing in an elevated container. I can use it throughout the growing season and at the end of the year I cut the netting before throwing it away so it doesn't pose a threat to birds and other animals. A cable connector of this size fits perfectly. Any shorter and the pipe won't reach; more and I'm wasting wires and money. I use this type of wire connectors in many ways around my house, but I bought this set specifically for garden use.
