I bought this shaving bowl for my husband's birthday. It's incredibly difficult! But it's durable, stylish and a handy size to sit on a bathroom countertop or hold in your hand, although it's also heavy! So don't bid that much on a manual shower bowl because if you drop it you're bound to break your toe! The fact that it's a rough stone is a big plus, as the bowl will retain heat when preheated in a warm water basin, and with a brush it forms a nice thick foam without much effort. My husband prefers to use glycerine soap for this, but it also works well for milder soaps and creamy soaps. An absolutely recommendable quality product for the price! Can it be used as a decorative plate or even a mortar and pestle if you like? I like this bowl very much.
