This was a tough one, four stars is too much but three stars for just "okay" seems little low too. First off, this is not a "crew" neck as described, but of course the photo clearly shows how much it scoops, and I like that because if you are truly going to wear it as a base layer or thermal underwear you may not want it showing under your over shirt. If I am going to wear it plain I prefer a scoop neck. So, happy with scoop neck. Where the sleeve is sewn to the cuff it puffs out oddly, doesn't matter where I place the cuff or how I tug on it, so bummer there. The sleeve length is okay bordering a smidgeon short for me, but this is not a new thing for, I often find it difficult to get tops with a proper sleeve length for me. The bottoms fit me length wise like shown on the model, so sort of like a slightly cropped ankle pant length, inseam on my size large measures 30.5 inches, so too much of ankle remains uncovered for me. The main problem with the bottoms is the waist is disproportionately large compared to the rest, and the elastic in the waistband is not strong, so these do not stay up on my waist and they sag/fall down with the shortest amount of wear time, I am always having to hike them up at the waist. As for the rest of the fitting, it skims the body nicely and I would say is true to size. The material is soft to the touch, and it is nicely stretchy but also pleasantly thick so it doesn't over stretch and get weak. Because of the thickness being stretched out doesn't make skin tone show through at all, it stays a good opaque black, the bottoms would be nice leggings under a short dress for example, and I would have no problem wearing the top as a shirt on its own. I found these to be warm, to test that I wore them outside in the morning to let the chickens out of the coop, temps in the 30's with blowing flurries, and I was surprised at how warm they felt. Easy care too. 3.5 stars would be about right, I can't go 4 stars because I can't say fully that I "like" them mainly because of the major fit issues with the waist, plus the minor fit issues with inseam and sleeve length and the puffy the sleeve/cuff junction.
