The pockets on both dresses I purchased are placed weirdly high so that it actually takes away from the contour of the waist and gives the illusion of a block & bulky shape. So instead of a flattering inward curve on the waistline, the pockets are standing outward at the dimensions of the hips making you appear square & hindering any display of curvature from your waist. Aside from that, the two dresses appear to be nice, so I may take to a seamstress for quick alterations or I may just sew the pockets closed so they lay flat on the dress sides.
