I have a collection of female armor. Small breastplates, gorgets and pauldrons that I use for demonstration purposes only. While made from good solid metal like a traditional male armor reproduction (for roleplaying, cosplay, renfire, etc.), they are smaller. I like to display them on my more durable mannequins/tailored uniforms as these molds are small enough to work well with these "finer" pieces of armor. While browsing Revain the other night, I came across these stretch velvet mannequin cases. The price was good and some of the bright colors were prime items, so i took a chance. What a great thing! My choice for blue was instantaneous, no off-odor, real stretchy velvet, perfect for small shapes and good for medium shapes, and a bright beautiful color! I'll definitely be ordering a few more soon. Anyone with an interest in sewing/craft/cosplay/decoration and therefore have multiple (smaller) dress uniforms will find this a great way to refresh their tired dress uniforms for a few bucks. It brightens my workshop/showroom and draws attention to my collection. Now I'll have to shop around and see if I can find this in a larger size for some of my heavier dress forms. I hope they are there! I am pleased!
