Review on πŸ”οΈ MIRACOL Ice Cleats: 23 Stainless Steel Spikes for Unmatched Traction – Perfect for Hiking, Walking, Jogging, and Mountaineering by Jeff Dabney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Recommended for winter hikers including CDT, PCT and AT fans.

A few years ago I bought a set of Micro Spikes for $50 or $60. They worked fantastic but over time I almost wore my teeth to the floor. I chose a pair as the price was very good. The teeth are more aggressive and the chain is lighter. The rubber component appears to be identical in material type and thickness. My four star rating across the board is only because I feel like I haven't owned it long enough to give it a five, I want to see how the lighter chain holds up over time. I'll edit if they fall apart but for now I recommend this product. I have also ordered kits for my wife and daughter for our upcoming trip to Canyonlands. Photo note: The red ones are my Microsoft spikes with hundreds of miles of winter trail on them (ice, rocks, and mud). The orange version is a MIRACOL brand that only has about 20 miles of snow and ice trail.
