Review on Acer CB242Y Bir FreeSync Technology 23.8-Inch Monitor, 🖥️ 1920x1080 Resolution, 75Hz Refresh Rate, Frameless Design, HD Display by David Hilzer

This display had everything I was looking for on paper. HDMI, check. Height adjustable, check. Low latency, check. What I didn't realize was how bad "cheap" ips panels had gotten. This panel and apparently many others suffer from the phenomenon of vertical lines in certain colors (blue, orange, green). I was seduced by the promises of better viewing angles and colors, but honestly I can't tell this IPS panel apart from the old TN panel. Videos and photos look good, but solid colors like icons and window frames. having that horrible look of striped pixels. For $130 I should have tempered my expectations but still quite disappointing. It's tempting to go back and get back to the Samsung TN panel.
