After using the router for 2.5 months I can honestly say how bad it was. I'm by no means a technology expert, but I've had several routers that are much better than this product. The router would intermittently disconnect devices from WiFi, which caused a lot of annoyance and frustration (for example, the smart lock turned off so family members couldn't log in remotely). After much internet research into this issue, including occasional calls to Netgear's very poor customer support, it turned out that there was no viable solution. So I switched to an ASUS RT-AX88U router (recommended by a friend) and am now 100% happy with the Wi-Fi capabilities in our house. Luckily I still have a return window for this piece of junk and will be returning it asap! Let this be a warning, while the actual router is visually appealing, it sucks.
