I am so grateful we made this purchase. One of our two cats just loves rummaging through the box and kicking litter all over the place, which makes us constantly sweeping everything up. Since we received the lid and mat this has not been a problem. He also did a great job of keeping the dog out of the litter box! I wasn't convinced I was getting much, but I felt it might help. I am not disappointed - a worthwhile purchase. I appreciate that the box is made to snap the lid in 4 places so it can't be easily removed. I have a lab and she couldn't take it off. Costs money
