Review on CeraVe Ultra Light Lotion Moisturizer 🌞 Sunscreen: Nourish and Protect Your Skin with Ease by Maria Aguillon

My holy grail, moisturizer with SPF!

I love this item! I have combination skin with slight wrinkles, but no major skin problems. I sometimes have small hormonal outbursts, but nothing major. I've been using CeraVe AM/PM Moisturizing Lotions for over a year and am very happy with it, but I don't like AM's sticky texture. I could get it to work, but I had to use it very, very carefully. So, even though this one is about double the price per ounce, I decided to give it a try as an alternative and I'm SO glad I did! The consistency is pretty close to PM lotion but slightly more runny and less gel-like. It absorbs quickly and spreads evenly without smudging, running or leaving a sticky white residue. It works great under makeup and in combination with other skincare products (of different consistencies) with no stickiness, pilling, peeling or weird color changes. I haven't had an odd reaction to any of the other products including cosmetics or other sunscreens added later in the day. The odor is light and harmless. A little sunscreen for a minute, but nothing overwhelming. I usually apply two pumps to my face just to get decent SPF coverage and it still absorbs leaving no white residue. (ETA After my initial review, I used a scoop and found that you need 4 puffs to get 1/4 hour of this, so at least it does its main job well. The finish is much more matte than a moisturizer AM lotion. Not super dry, matte but natural looking, not greasy or overly shiny even when applied over oily serums. It looks a bit shiny within minutes but dries quickly.Although it's significantly more expensive than the AM Moisturizing Lotion (approx pack , but 1.7 ounces compared to 3 ounces) it's still economical. It's also easy to find just about anywhere, although it's a bit harder now just because the internet is waking people up to the brand. The pump's just too operate and mine doesn't need to be filled in. I don't like bags with lids because I'm clumsy and tip everything over, but overall not bad.. It has the slightly clinical standard CeraVe aesthetic ik which has been made a little smoother with a silver cap. Small pressure lines form on the lid over time, even with careful handling. This might not have happened if you kept it on the side. The only thing I'm missing from AM Moisturizing Lotion is niacinamide. If they would add it to this product and keep the lighter consistency I would be thrilled. At the same time I get it from serums and PM lotion. Overall, this is definitely my favorite drugstore SPF face lotion and I have no plans to change it any time soon!
