So my third year has a bad attitude about everything...in September). Meanwhile, the straps of the bag mostly look worn and dull. But not with this book bag. The material is easy to clean and stains don't seem to settle on it, keeping the bag looking new. It's like durable nylon. The straps are well padded so they don't dig into the narrow shoulders. The space is amazing and all the compartments make it easy to stay organized. As this bag is often walked on the floor, you would think that there would be signs of wear on the bottom, but no, this bag doesn't. So all I can say so far so good about this purchase.
