This worked very well and very quickly on my Android device. The IOS device was more complex. I haven't tried it on the computer yet. I haven't tried the Type-C connector either. The USB side of the adapter folds down to fit an Android device. With my body and the angle of the adapter, it was a bit difficult to insert the adapter. Once that happened, my phone just popped open the card on the adapter and started reading. With our Apple products, the adapter was difficult to insert into the devices. We had to take the cases off our iPads or phones. Which was funny since neither of us could remember how we started our business. And for the iPad, we had to download an app called i-Flash Device App. An Apple ID was required to download the app. The app was a bit cumbersome. You can save and view in the app. When my laptop comes back I'll try it on there. For now, I think using Android is my best bet. I used this to display video from the camera. The download was faster than the other card reader I have. In the photos I have a micro SD card in the reader. But as you can see, there is a slot for a full-size SD card.
