Good system for light touch-ups when playing vinyl after a thorough cleaning.

My original dishwasher, which I bought in 1981, recently ripped in the seam along the front of the velvet so I've started looking for a replacement. I've heard good things about the Discwasher 4+ cleaning fluid and found that this system is still made but by RCA. The beauty of the internet is reading reviews from real users of a product. This new washer is an inferior copy of the original, using a velvet pad instead of directional velvet to remove dirt from the record surface. I read in reviews that this corduroy pushes dust around without actually raising it. So that brings me to this product that mentions a velvet upholstery. Although the grain is not directional, it moves towards the grooves but runs well in the grooves. I feel it when I try to brush in or out on the plate, especially when I'm painting on the edge of the plate with the brush. Therefore, apply less pressure and shake it up slightly. I also wanted to try the less rigid stylus brush that comes with this kit. My original Discwasher stylus brush is extremely stiff so only the tip of the stylus is noticeable and dust can collect on and above the cantilever. This brush helps the needle rest against the bristles for a more thorough cleaning. One thing not included in this kit is the brush cleaner, which is another bristle brush that you use to dust off the velvet after cleaning the record. Still using my old brush, tell me, tell me, folks! The package includes a bottle of vinyl cleaner with a sprayer instead of the dropper we used to apply to the front edge of the pad. I make my own liquid using distilled water, 90% isopropyl alcohol and a little Finish dish soap as a surfactant since my old liquid ran out years ago. So I haven't tried this new liquid yet. There's also a bottle of pen cleaner that you can add to the brush to help loosen stuck particles on your pen. I haven't found any homemade decoctions for this yet, so I'm happy to use these. I wonder what's in it? Finally, a microfiber cloth is included, which I haven't used yet as I have a Boundless anti-static brush to lightly dust it off before dropping the 'needle'. It's all fine after doing a thorough cleaning with some kind of wet wash. I'm currently looking for some sort of vacuum system to carefully remove contaminants from a thoroughly cleaned record. And after you're done, pop the freshly washed vinyl into a mo-fi envelope. Paper and cardboard sleeves scratch your records every time you take them out and put them back in. Wow!
