The description of this bag, like the other reviewers, fooled me as I thought it was also leather. This is very discreetly stated much later in the list, which is a bit disappointing. The bag is much sturdier than most faux leather bags and my main compartments seem to be slightly different sizes so the zipper doesn't close easily. It also smells strongly of vinyl when opened. The bag looks gorgeous, with rose gold hardware against a black faux leather background. The crimson satin lining is fine too, but can get a bit dirty over time. It's supposed to be waterproof, but I imagine it's going to be very difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies where the seams meet after a while. Clear vinyl is quite thick and not very flexible, so it limits what you can wear. all subjects, especially small ones. I think it would work well for toiletries and skincare products, but not so well for makeup. But everyone has their own preferences. This is a nice large toiletry/cosmetic bag that opens fully to have two compartments on the sides for relatively easy access. It's not a soft bag anyway, and it's not my favorite, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it. Others will like it I know.
