I'm new to using lighter weight threads or yarns than worsted, but lately I've been experimenting with some lighter weight crochet projects. I used Aunt Lydia's #3 crochet thread to gradually progress to finer and finer threads. I can make tiny napkins out of them, as well as some pretty amigurumi miniatures. Crocheting is a pleasure as the mercerized cotton slides easily in my hands and on the needle. It has a nice, subtle sheen that gives my designs a beautiful, high-quality look that cannot be achieved with regular "matt" cotton yarns. i love this stuff
