Review on πŸ”₯ Portable Electric Heater GDY 1500W: Oscillating with 3 Adjustable Modes for Optimal Warmth by Tammy Cooley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No fan *click* of this noisy heater *click* but *click* it heats up well *click* well.

A common complaint about this heater is that it is of poor quality in many ways. First, the main problem I have is that when the flame is on, there is a constant clicking sound every 2 seconds or so as the background scrolls repeatedly. The same clicking sound occurs in the same place, just like a clock. I'll post a video but it's hard to hear because of the fan noise. Trust me, it's a lot louder in person. I have to turn it off because it's such an annoying noise. Second, you can't change the thermostat if it's set to high or low. It just runs continuously unless you set a timer. The timer can be set from 1 to 12 hours. Third, when you use the thermostat mode to set the temperature, it never turns off! When the set temperature is reached, the heater will turn off but the fan will keep running. Forever and ever. It's such a terrible design flaw because it just wastes power all the time. Fourth, you must control it with "touch" buttons, not actual physical buttons. And finally, it has a remote control, but it only works if you point it in the right place. However, it actually heats up quite well at high temperatures and fluctuates, albeit not much (maybe only around 90 degrees). It's pretty solid and the ROPS has worked every time I've tested it. But these basic requirements can be met in any heater for half the cost of that heater. Because of the flame interrupt feature and the fact that it never shuts off once it reaches the desired temperature, I'm not sure it's worth half the power. Price. I would advise buying something more solid when it comes to powerful electric heaters. Not recommended.
